More about the course

Are you fascinated by the human body and how it works? On this course, you will develop your understanding of biology and chemistry fundamentals such as how the human body functions in health and disease. You will gain an appreciation of healthcare systems and technologies as well as organic and inorganic chemistry, theoretical and practical application of analytical chemistry, at the same time as studying how matter behaves at the atomic and molecular scale in physical chemistry. You will then learn about the immune system and develop microbiological techniques and discover the principles of biomedical science.

This course ensures that you are well prepared to make a difference in the scientific industry. You will develop specific skills for your industry including good laboratory practice, good manufacturing practice, control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) assessments, health and safety policies including compliance to ISO9001 standard, Human Tissues Act, standardisation and calibration, and quality assurance.
